"The Trial and Crucifixion of the Messiah"
Begins Sunday, March 19, 9:30 am, Parish Hall
On a spring day in AD 33, Jesus of Nazareth was brought to trial before two criminal justice systems, Hebrew and Roman, and then crucified. From a legal perspective, these trials raise the issue of how could two judicial systems, robust in their day, convict Jesus? From God's perspective, the human "justice" meted out that day produced the very pinnacle of God's acts on earth for through the Messiah’s death the fabric of eternity was forever changed.
|Alan Runyan will be speaking on these issues during the Rector’s Forum beginning on March 19 and concluding on Palm Sunday, April 9.
