Generations Ministry Spring Finale
May 22, 2019
7:00pm – 8:00pm
Location: 154 Church St., Charleston, SC 29401Category: Generations Ministry | Coordinator: Lynn Land
Grandparents, join us for the Generations Ministry spring finale on May 22! Our speaker is the Rev. Brian McGreevy, St. Philip’s resident C.S. Lewis scholar, who will speak on Lewis’s beloved allegorical children’s series The Chronicles of Narnia and how grandparents might use it to connect with and minister to their grandchildren.
The Generations team will also be giving a brief report on the ministry’s inaugural year. Lynn Land will recap this year’s meetings and tell us of upcoming fall opportunities where we grandparents can learn from each other in small groups and dive more deeply into intentional grandparenting as we discover what the Bible says about our role. Amy Watson Smith, St. Philip’s Director of Ministry to Children and Families, will give us a sneak preview of St. Philip’s Vacation Bible School (June 10-13)––she always has resources for us grandparents to share with our precious grandchildren.
Don’t miss this final Generations event before summer break!
